Muman is a "range" building, which means it is made up of a long range of rooms in a row. The rooms in range buildings had corbel arch ceilings and were usually organized in pairs, as was the case with Muman. This drawing gives you an idea of what a range building would have looked like originally.
This is a closer view of the plaza which Mumun borders on the north.
This
photo shows you one of the original untouched plaster walls excavated in Muman.
This is completely original plaster--about a thousand years old and still
beautiful! The floor of this building is also as well preserved.
