Tzunu'un Forest Garden
_
_____The forest garden at Tzunu'un was conceived in 1995 and intitiated at El Pilar with the help of Constanza Ocampo and funding from Ford Foundation. The forest garden showcases essential plants that the Maya may have used when the site was occupied many years ago. The ongoing experiment relies on traditional farmers who work with ecologists such as Nicole Gerrardo and David Campbell to recreate the spirit of the forest as a garden.
