Starting from Plaza Faisán and the Duende comfort station, you see signs with "Chert Site" and "Chikin Pilar" pointing to the west. Chikin Pilar is all that is to the west, and yes, chikin means west in Mayan. This is a walk for imagining the unknown. You are heading baka-bush, into the jungle in Belizean Creole. The trail is clear and will be easy to follow, but will take an imagination to interpret. We have several interesting features highlighted. Future plans are to include more of the undiscovered parts of El Pilar that stretch off in the distance. Features we encounter are only just the beginning.
